This series was created from my emotional relationship with flowers, color, and the fragile beauty of temporary things.Together they form one emotional sentence rather than four separate paintings. For me, the word “And” became a continuation, a breath, a soft emotional connection between states, seasons, memories, and feelings.
I was thinking about how easily people forget the quiet beauty that exists inside ordinary moments. A field of poppies, a bouquet left in sunlight, a flower changing color before it fades. These moments are often small and almost invisible, but emotionally they can remain inside a person for years.
For many women, flowers are never just decoration. They become memory, sensitivity, emotional atmosphere, and a way of feeling connected to nature and to themselves.
At the same time, flowers are deeply temporary. Their beauty never stays for long. They bloom intensely, almost emotionally, and then slowly disappear. Even after being cut and brought home, they survive only a few days before beginning to fade. I became fascinated by this fragile tension between beauty and disappearance.
With this series I wanted to preserve a feeling that could not physically remain. Not to paint flowers realistically, but to hold onto the emotional impression they leave behind.
The expressive brushstrokes and almost oversized forms make the flowers feel emotionally alive rather than botanical. The paintings exist somewhere between memory and abstraction, between emotional energy and visual simplicity.
This series is about the human desire to keep beauty from disappearing completely.
“Beauty is fleeting, but the way it touches us can remain forever.”
