This painting is about the uncomfortable moment when a person begins to outgrow their previous self.

Transformation is rarely clean or romantic. Sometimes it feels chaotic, emotional, even physically exhausting. I wanted this work to capture the psychological tension between destruction and rebirth. The moment when the old identity no longer survives, but the new one still feels unfamiliar.

The figure appears emotionally fragmented yet powerful at the same time. The face shifts between softness and distortion, almost as if identity itself is melting and rebuilding simultaneously. Bright colors create the illusion of playfulness, while underneath them there is vulnerability, pressure, and emotional fatigue.

For me, this work speaks about the strange loneliness that often accompanies growth. Nobody fully sees the internal process while it is happening. From the outside, transformation can look beautiful, colorful, even effortless. But internally it often feels like surviving yourself.

The painting explores femininity not as perfection, but as emotional movement. As the ability to collapse, rebuild, adapt, and continue evolving without losing sensitivity.

“New You” is not about becoming someone else.

It is about finally allowing yourself to become who you already were beneath fear, expectation, and performance.
