This painting is about emotional reflection and the fragile intimacy of truly recognizing yourself inside another person.

I was thinking about the idea that every deep human connection eventually becomes a mirror. Sometimes we believe we are only observing another person, but in reality we are also confronting our own fears, desires, tenderness, loneliness, and emotional memory through them.

For me, love is never only about another person. It is also about the parts of ourselves that become visible in their presence.

The figures inside this work appear emotionally intertwined, almost dissolving into one psychological space. I wanted the painting to feel soft and emotionally vulnerable, but also slightly unstable, because genuine intimacy always carries the risk of emotional exposure.

The layered colors and expressive forms create a sense of movement between two inner worlds. There is closeness, but also emotional tension. Recognition, but also uncertainty. The work exists somewhere between comfort and emotional confrontation.

“I Look Into Your Heart as I Look Into Mine” explores the idea that understanding another person honestly requires the courage to look inward with the same honesty.
