FINDING YOUR CREATIVE VOICE
Inspired by Takashi Murakami
Creative Workshop for Children (7–12 years)
Developed in collaboration with Art Workshop Hamburg and hosted at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg.This workshop introduced children to the world of Contemporary Art through the work of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, one of the most influential contemporary artists of our time.
Participants explored Murakami’s artistic language, discussed emotions in art, and discovered how artists use color, symbols, repetition, and visual storytelling to communicate ideas and feelings.
The workshop encouraged children to reflect on their own emotions and creativity while developing their individual artistic voice.
Inspired by Murakami’s iconic flower motifs, each participant created a personal series of emotional flowers, transforming feelings, moods, and experiences into unique visual compositions.

The goal of the workshop was to support creative thinking, encourage self-expression, and introduce children to contemporary artistic practices in an accessible and inspiring way.
