Solo Exhibition „After the shift“

Solo Exhibition „After the shift“

The foundation of Darina’s artistic method is contemporary Pop Art, which in her interpretation moves beyond irony and decoration. She uses the expressive power of Pop Art  bold color, graphic clarity, contrast, and visual directness  as a language for speaking about deep emotional states, feminine strength, sensuality, and inner transformation.

Bright colors and reduced forms in her works become carriers of tension, sensitivity, memory, and energy. In her practice, Pop Art transforms from an aesthetic of consumption into an aesthetic of experience.

Her paintings exist between figuration and fragmentation, presence and disappearance, vulnerability and strength.

A special part of the exhibition is the intimate space My Little Secret, conceived as the artist’s personal archive. Here, handwritten fragments, visual notes, and works on paper reveal a more immediate and private layer of the creative process.

After the Shift understands painting as a space of redefinition  between personal experience and collective reality, between the body and memory, between what was and what is still becoming.

This project marks a new phase in the artist’s practice  one shaped by resilience, emotional honesty, and the power of reinvention.

Darina Mikityuk’s works have been featured in Vogue, Architectural Digest, and Playboy, and are held in private collections across Europe and the United States.
